it was a fun adventure, I don’t think we ate as much as shawn, but we did help take a few bites. Mike was the expert tour guide he knew where things were and what to hit up.
We started our day off at chinatown, did not get dimsum with shawn, but met up to get some viet bread/sandwich. Stopped by one of the viet bread places and picked up some waffles, mike quickly snapped a bite before shawn could. Then moved to the mac bar, gotta say who doesn’t love mac and cheese, even duck in it or a mac and cheese burger.
On our way we saw a sign that has tape on it point the middle finger when it said do not walk, kind of funny. We also saw a small dark park apparently ny has a lot of these dog parks all over.
Next was Washington park where we got some free t-shirts from the nyu korea association. Shawn and xptine helped make a scene to get more t-shirts to people. They also had a promo for 20-30$ off the bill if you wear your korean t-shirt.
We took a long break and encountered a random guy who asked about the t-shirts, if soccer was a main sport in korea, actually starcraft lol.. he said he actually played back then, he also then let a few of us pet his dog, and joked about hey don’t koreans eat dogs lol…. he was just making a joke but interesting stranger =P
Next we walked to peanut butter and co, I have to say the fluffer nutter was gooood! next time i’m going have to get some peanutbutter to go
Then we walked over to a flaffel place MaMouns which is pretty cheap. 2.50 for a nice big gyro faffel
Next was Joes’ pizza for some classic ny pizza nothing special
I had to leave for an hr, so i could send of my gf at port authority bus station. Shes going to visit her mom for a week.
After I got back they hit up a few spots but i met up with them at chelsea’s market. Shawn got some lobster bisque it was good to dip the bread they got in chelsea’s.
Mike took us to highline park something I did not know about, but apparently it used to be a set of train tracks that they made into a park.
After hanging out at the park we went to Little Pie Company, had to get the Sour Cream apple pie… yumm apaprently there is an happy hr 7-8 =)
We headed over to delancy, and tried to eat/ drink at inotecha but the wait was too long so we ended up waiting and they told us some bad news that our party had to eat from a special menu so we said forget it and headed to Libation. Big screen tv, and projectors, we also had some darn good food along with some cheap drinks during the boston and celtics game. There was no 151 for them to make their galvatrons, but a bunch of us had megatrons… haha
